A Hawaiian Poem

I have been taking some more hawaiian classes to speak the language. I am a bit rusty but wanted to share a little poem.

:Mauka:

Looking towards the mountains

:Makai:

Then towards the sea

:Pahoehoe:

I saw smooth lava flowing

Endlessly

:Lei:

Towards a garden of flowers

:Lokahi:

They unite, in agreement

It's all perfect harmony

:Pahu:

The drums

:Nani:

Play beautifully

Oli:

A chant that was not danced to

You could fill :Aumakua:

A personal God.

Throughout all of Hawaii.

To all of you :aloha:

Didn't the gods put Hawaii on earth to show us what was possible with concentration????

Hi darling

Lovely poem, Shy.

Been wondering where you were. Wonder if that was why I was inspired to browse "The Secret Science Behind Miracles" by Max Freedom Long about Huna tradition. It's a fascinating book.

Aloha.

EJ :-)

You're very welcome.

And I'm very well, thank you. Now that's Spring has sprung I've started going for long walks. Just walked for 2 hours and I'm on the other side of London right now. It's going to take me 3 hours to get home by bus. rolling eyes.

Well you have a lovely day.

All my love,
EJ :-)

Aloha !!

Simple and elegant. Could feel the "Chi" flowing when I read it.

It places you between the mountain & the sea. Everything said inbetween.. is a perfect rendering..

nice Shy :)
